This is an exciting time to be working in the field of shellfish aquaculture and we’d love to bring in a couple of dedicated team members with interest in building a future with Sweet Amalia. 

 

Seasonal Positions:

 

Farm Hand: This is a field-based position at our farm located in Cape May Court House, NJ.  Works as a team member on all farm related tasks (including sorting, grading, and washing oysters). Dirty and muddy work, but surrounding environment is beautiful. Must love being outdoors and be able to lift 50 lbs. 

 

Packing Operations Associate:  This position is based at our packing hub in Newfield, NJ. The individual drives our van from Newfield to our farm in Cape May County to pick up our freshly harvested oysters. Handles all cold-chain records. Power washes and packs oysters. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. 

 

Driver: Delivers oysters driving our van to Philadelphia and shore area restaurants.  Must have a clean driving record.

Shuckers & mobile raw bar cashier:  Operates our mobile raw bar at various venues within the south Jersey region.  

 

These positions can be combined dependent on candidate interest and availability.  All positions are part time and seasonal with potential for longer term.  A perfect job if you enjoy being outdoors, want to make a positive environmental impact, and or if you’re a foodie and love oysters!
